Escorted Transportation Services

The Escorted Transportation Service (ETS) is a volunteer-based program that provides independent older adults age 60+ and individuals with disabilities age 18–59 with occasional rides to and from their home to medical and dental appointments. The service is available Monday through Friday for appointments scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. There are no fees for this service.

Currently, ETS is available to all residents of Northfield Township only.

Beginning June 10, 2024, we will accept ETS registrations from residents of New Trier Township. New Trier Township residents may begin requesting rides through ETS beginning July 1, 2024.

We currently do not have dates for expanding to other nearby townships, but please check back on this page for future updates.

Please note that ETS drivers cannot accommodate wheelchairs. ETS is not an urgent or emergency service and is intended for the occasional appointment; multiple requests per week by an individual cannot be accommodated. At least 7 to 10 days advance notice is required.
